“The whole experience has been very positive for Nichiha and for me as an IT manager. We saw a lot of value in the business relationship and decided to strengthen it accordingly.”
Eric Daugherty, IT Manager
Nichiha is a global manufacturing company focused on providing fiber cement products for the residential and commercial construction industry. With their US operations based in the Metro Atlanta area, Nichiha has been a Blytheco client for a number of years.
New Project Management Process
Blytheco’s ongoing practice to improve and simplify processes led to the development of a new engagement model which has proven effective with other customers. Blytheco recommended this model for Nichiha to better coordinate and manage their IT projects.
The approach consists of having a dedicated project manager who takes ownership of all the development tasks as well as the overall relationship between the two companies. Regular project status reviews and prioritization of checklist items are the norm. Overall, better communication is established and projects are completed in a timely fashion with minimal surprises along the way. Nichiha enthusiastically welcomed this new approach.
Improving the project management methodology has had positive effects on Nichiha’s business goals. Nichiha is experiencing tremendous growth and to remain competitive in their marketplace, they have established aggressive technology goals. Blytheco’s role as trusted advisor on their technology projects gives Nichiha’s team more bandwidth to be able to focus on other areas of growth, such as making improvements to their technology, which helps them advance their goals.
Eric Daugherty, Nichiha’s IT Manager shares, “The new process worked well for us. It really transformed our business relationship into more of a partnership and gave us the confidence to work with Blytheco on further projects. The whole experience has been very positive for Nichiha and for me as an IT manager. We saw a lot of value in the business relationship and decided to strengthen it accordingly.”
