The following formula should be used to determine
the minimum "free" disk space on the server:
2GB + (3 * Approximate DB Size) (Note: This will
need to increase as your database size increases.) |

Should be based upon your tolerance for disk failure;
however, Microsoft recommends that write-caching
capabilities of disk controllers be disabled (unless
the manufacturer specifically specifies SQL database
compatible.) |
