Version 4.3 — Why we recommend that you upgrade.

Blytheco is recommending that our clients upgrade their Sage MAS 90/200 systems to the latest version. The SAGE MAS 90 and SAGE MAS 200 ERP Systems version 4.3 release will focus on some of the most requested customer enhancements to enable our customers growing businesses to work the way they do. Included in this release are additional business intelligence capabilities, the incorporation of paperless office, direct deposit functionality, usability improvements, architectural improvements and updated integrated Sage solutions. Adding new features and functionality with little or no impact on total cost of ownership (TCO) is the focus of 4.3. In fact, the total TCO for some current customers will be reduced.

Focusing on lower TCO, the 4.3 release will take a break from converting any additional modules to the new Sage MAS 90 and 200 architecture, the Business Framework. Once modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales Order, Return Merchandise Authorization, and Bank Reconciliation, are converted to the new architecture, upgrading to new releases will lower the customer’s TCO by providing simple tools they can use to create and modify existing reports and add user defined fields. The Business Framework also provides the functionality for features and functionality such as: Business Insight Explorer, Memo Manager, wizard-based report creation, personalized data grids, and maintenance task hyperlinks. Planned for the subsequent 4.4 release is the application of global business framework standards providing enhancements to the Purchase Order, Inventory Management and Bill of Material modules.

If you use any of the following features with your MAS 90 or MAS 200 system, special considerations may be required for your upgrade.

Third-party applications (i.e., add-ons from other Sage developers like Blytheco, JobOps, Scanco, or any EDI system)
Crystal Reports, particularly in Sales Order Processing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, RMA, or Bank Reconciliation
User-defined fields, or other features of the Custom Office module
Data imports or exports using the Visual Integrator or Import Master modules, including Dynalink integrations to SalesLogix
Forms may require changes

How to Upgrade:

Call Blytheco now or complete the form below to schedule a preliminary upgrade planning session. This session will focus on making the decisions needed to adequately determine the impact of the upgrade on your system.
If your Sage Subscription Plan is not current, contact your account manager to renew. Current releases of MAS 90 and MAS 200 are available only to customers on current plans.


Things to consider:
	As of 12/1/08, Sage Software will no longer provide any Phone Support for version 3.71.
	As of 12/1/07, Sage Software will not provide any more year-end Accounts Payable, Payroll, Magnetic Media or Tax Table Updates for version 3.71.
	Please don’t try this upgrade yourself – Blytheco has a proven methodology to plan and perform this upgrade
	If you have enhancements, custom modifications or other add-on products, we will need to get upgrades for those products as well.
	If you have Custom Reports, they may need to be upgraded too.
