the Shipping and Receiving Processes
Shipping
and Receiving for Sage MAS 500 provides a streamlining
of the steps required to process PO Receipts and
Sales Order Picking and Shipping activities. By
combining the available steps into a central screen,
the user can initiate and complete the Picking
and Shipping activities in a single step. In certain
environments, combining these steps can be a significant
timesaver.
Flexible selection criteria combined
with a choice of which steps to complete, give
the user control over whether to run the entire
process from Pick to Shipment Posting, or only
up to Create Shipments, for example. This flexibility
provides the user the opportunity to update transactions
when required as part of the process, while still
advancing the overall process forward more quickly
and efficiently.
Built with the Sage MAS 500 Application
Framework, the Streamline Receiving/ Shipping module
provides the same rich graphical and ease-of-use
features found throughout Sage MAS 500. Integration
with Sage MAS 500 is achieved with Customizer, extending
functionality without modifying it.
Flexible Selection Criteria
Select Orders to Process
by multiple criteria including Ship Date, Customer,
Warehouse, Item, Sales Order, etc.
Flexible Multi-Step
Processing
Process Shipments in one step by selecting
Post Shipments, and all preceding steps (Create
Pick, Confirm Pick, Create Shipment) will be automatically
selected. Or, select any previous step and the
system will process only up to that point, allowing
the user to manually update information at that
point.
Process Drop Shipments
The Streamlined Shipping
process is ideal for heavy drop-ship environments
when all that is necessary is to post a shipment
and generate an invoice.
Enter Lots & Bins
The streamlining process
allows for Lots and Bins to be defaulted and overridden
when necessary. Environments that do not require
these columns may hide them. |
