Identify Inventory by Characteristics and QC Test Results

Quality Control Characteristics for Sage MAS 500 is a key component for Distributors and Manufacturers that must adhere to quality testing rules and track results for specific inventory items and quantities. The modules flexibility allows easy setup for different environments as the required Characteristic Properties, Tests and Validation Rules are unlimited and user-defined.

The Quality Control module can be used for tracking QC Results or for simply tracking and maintaining Characteristics of Lot or Serially tracked items.

Available for Manufacturing or Distribution-only environments, Quality Control Characteristics extends Sage MAS 500 inventory identification, control and commitment, assuring businesses will meet or exceed their industries standards for product quality and customer satisfaction.

Built with the Sage MAS 500 Application Framework, Quality Control Characteristics provides the same rich graphical and ease-of-use features found throughout Sage MAS 500. Integration with Sage MAS 500 is achieved with Customizer, extending functionality without modifying it.

Define Unlimited Properties and Test Criteria
An unlimited number of Characteristic properties can be established along with an unlimited number of Test Criteria. Multiple Properties and associated Test Criteria can be grouped together and linked to an Inventory Item or Items. The Test Criteria can be simple min/max or a very comprehensive combination of value ranges.

Enter QC Test Results/Characteristics
Anywhere Lot/Serial Items are received, Characteristics may also be entered. This includes PO Receiving, Inventory Receipt, RMA’s, and in Manufacturing, when Materials are issued to a job and when parts produced quantities are recorded at any WIP Step. As QC results are entered they are validated against the defined property ranges, min/max’s, datatype, etc., with on-line warnings or errors given on failures and passing results.

QC Characteristics History
QC Characteristics History is maintained by Item, Lot, Serial & Job for Audit, Inquiry and Reporting purposes.

Produce necessary Certification documents.

Define Router/Work Order Step QC Characteristics
QC Characteristics for one or multiple parts produced can be tracked throughout WIP on a Manufacturing Job at the Lot or Serial Identification level. Require different QC Results to be recorded at any Step of a Job.

Lot/Serial Number Characteristics Inquiry
QC Characteristics for a Lot or Serial Number can be inquired upon anytime through an Inquiry form. During Sales Order entry, an Items Characteristics can be inquired upon. When a customer requires material meeting certain criteria, the user can verify that a Lot exists, and commit it to the order. Enter the criteria and the inquiry will return any matching lots/serial items.

Customer Item Characteristics
An Item’s Lot Characteristic values required by a given customer can be maintained for each customer. The user can compare these when entering a new Sales Order to ensure available inventory matches the customers requirements for that item.
