Manage Inventory
Commitments to Sales Orders
Inventory Allocations
for Sage MAS 500 provides the level of inventory commitment
required by many manufacturers and suppliers particularly
when faced with constrained inventory availability
when demand outpaces supply. Using Inventory Allocations
for Sage MAS 500, a business can maintain customer satisfaction
with the knowledge that the commitments it makes
will be fulfilled.
With Inventory Allocations for Sage MAS 500, allocating and de-allocating inventory
to customer orders is easy to perform and uses
rules-based logic to fulfill orders based on priority,
order date, request date, must ship status, backorder
status, ship complete, etc. A user can select the
sequence in which the available rules are evaluated
and which ones to use. Selection criteria also
makes it possible to allocate using these rules
by Item, Item Class, Customer, Product Category,
etc. Any allocated inventory can be de-allocated
to make it available to other orders. Available
and Allocated inventory is visible on the Sales
Order line.
Built with the Sage MAS 500 Application
Framework, the Inventory Allocations module provides
the same rich graphical and ease-of-use features
found throughout Sage MAS 500. Integration with Sage MAS
500 is achieved with Customizer.
Automatic Inventory Allocation
Automatically commit
inventory to Sales Orders through an easy to use
multi-selection and processing screen. Select only
the orders you wish to allocate based on Item,
Customer, Shipping Date, Shipping Priority, etc.
Shipping Priority
Orders can have Shipping Priorities
assigned such as Must Ship, Backorder, Replacement,
Regular and Sample. Inventory can be allocated
based on Shipping Priority.
Rules Sequence
Create
multiple sets of Allocation Rules to define the
sequence in which inventory is to be allocated
to orders. For example, orders defined as Must
Ship, Backorder, Replacement, Regular and Sample
can be sequenced in any order and Inventory will
be allocated accordingly.
Direct Allocation
If you want to manually Allocate
inventory to orders, the Direct Allocation option
gives the user the ability to enter and override
allocated quantities.
Run Allocations Anytime
Allocations
can be run anytime and processed in an iterative
fashion with different rule sets applied each time.
This provides ultimate flexibility for performing
multiple passes with different rules and sequences.
Sales Order Visibility
Users can view the status
of Inventory Quantity Available and Quantity Allocated
right from the Sales Order line.
Includes Auto Ship Module
The Auto Ship module
is included providing increased efficiency over
picking and shipping processes. When used with
the Allocations module, Auto Ship will select for
picking only order lines for which there is an
allocated quantity. The user has the flexibility
to include lines that have not been allocated but
for which there is an available quantity, performing
the Allocate and Ship processes simultaneously.
Please see the Auto Ship and Receive brochure for
additional information.
Auto Pick & Ship
When
used with Allocations, the Auto Shipping process
allows for selection based on Percent Allocated.
For example, you may only want to pick orders that
are at least 90% allocated, minimizing your backorder
situation by excluding any order less than 90%
allocated. This percent can represent the Cost
or Sale value of the order, and can vary by Shipment
Priority, i.e., Must Ship 80%, Backorders 90%,
etc. Ship Complete orders must be 100% Allocated.
