Using the Power Search Option in BUSINESSWORKS If you have ever used the Power Search option within the Lookup feature, you know you have found a powerful querying tool, but did you know you can also use this for on-the-fly reporting? The Sage BusinessWorks Power Search feature allows you to export search results into a Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet. Use this feature to obtain simple lists not available through Sage BusinessWorks reports: 1. From a lookup window, click the Power Search tab. 2. Select the desired search criteria, and click Find Now. 3. When the list displays, click the Export button. Microsoft Excel 4. Use Microsoft Excel to format the report or list. A Power Search can be customized on a user-by-user, company-by-company basis: 1. Select the Power Search tab and click Customize. 2. Edit an existing view or click New to create a custom view. 3. In View, enter the name for this view. 4. Select a Field to search from the list. 5. Change the order of the columns and select the column to 6. Click Save.
